This past weekend we took a trip to Bangkok and one of our main destinations was the Chatuchak (or Jatujak; Thai: จตุจักร) weekend market. The largest market in all of Thailand, this marketspace covers over 35 acres with more than 10,000 stalls. Yowzas.
The market offers a wide variety of products including:

Live animals (Domestic and Exotic)
*Rumored to even sell tigers if you give the secret knock to the store fronts.

Textiles

Antiques

Handicrafts

Thai souvenirs

Household items

Food
…and literally everything else you could imagine. We spent about half a day at the market, or until we felt we were going to pass out from dehydration. The Market is completely outdoors under fetal shade barriers that turn the place into a giant oven. I think its fair to say I have sweat as much in those couple of hours than in my entire time here.

We could have kept looking for days, but I think it would be impossible to cover all the grounds, even if you had an entire weekend to walk around. We were amazed by the incredible antiques and variety of products available, that we promised to come back one day. Such an overwhelming and cool experience!
