This past month Sommer and I had the opportunity to meet up with one of my family’s great Australian friends and some local Thai’s for a dinner in Bangkok. Knowing locals is the way to go when ordering food. Tina, the supervisor for the restaurant we went to, ordered us course after course of crab curries, fish, lobster, thai appetizers, noodles, rice, and a giant plate of mango sticky rice. AND endless drinks. It was an awesome way to bring together old and new friends, and left us completely stuffed.
Here is a look at the dinner table. Notice the detail put into carving the carrots and other decorative vegetables on the plates. The restaurant wanted each entree to look like a piece of art and designed each dish down to the last garnish.
Here is the group of us!
Its incredible to think how friends from so far away have the ability these days to meet up in foreign countries so far away from home. Its so refreshing to see a familiar face and be able to share your experiences with someone you know will understand. Thanks to Peter for the hospitality and incredible transport back to Pattaya. A BMW 7 series sure beats a 4 hour bus ride!
